Gen­eral Contracting

As the Gen­eral Con­trac­tor, TRP Con­struc­tion is respon­si­ble for the over­all coor­di­na­tion of the con­struc­tion project. Pre-​construction, TRP will thor­oughly review the project-​specific doc­u­ments (draw­ings, spec­i­fi­ca­tions, sup­ple­men­tary con­di­tions, and any adden­dum) and com­plete a site visit to bet­ter under­stand the project before sub­mit­ting a bid. Dur­ing con­struc­tion, TRP will pro­vide all mate­r­ial, labour, equip­ment, and ser­vices nec­es­sary to com­plete the project. Exam­ple respon­si­bil­i­ties include apply­ing for build­ing per­mits, secur­ing the prop­erty, pro­vid­ing tem­po­rary util­i­ties on site, man­ag­ing work­ers on site, pro­vid­ing site sur­vey­ing and engi­neer­ing, dis­pos­ing or recy­cling of con­struc­tion waste, mon­i­tor­ing sched­ules and cash flows, main­tain­ing accu­rate records, and ongo­ing com­mu­ni­ca­tion with the client/​consultants. How­ever, TRP’s num­ber one pri­or­ity is safety on the job­site. TRP Con­struc­tion works col­lab­o­ra­tively with many sub­con­trac­tors to com­plete divi­sions 116 con­struc­tion work and is respon­si­ble for the qual­ity of all work per­formed by all sub­con­trac­tors. Con­struc­tion close­out (post-​construction phase) includes the man­age­ment of com­mis­sion­ing, test­ing and bal­anc­ing, demon­stra­tions, as built draw­ings, oper­a­tion and main­te­nance man­u­als, war­ran­tees, and defi­ciency resolution.

TRP Con­struc­tion has com­pleted numer­ous projects under CCDC 22008 Stip­u­lated Price Con­tract; com­plete with var­i­ous Owner’s sup­ple­men­tary con­di­tions. TRP Con­struc­tion imple­ments CCA 12008 Stip­u­lated Price Sub­con­tract with all subcontractors.
